VIEW ALL PROJECTSThis deluxe backyard in Encinitas was designed by the brilliant Brad Lefkowitz of Waves Landscape Design and built by us. The client wanted a modern, eco-friendly space for entertaining, children’s play, and work (custom office). The modern lines of wood, concrete and steel are designed and installed with extreme attention to detail. In my opinion, this is the only way that modern design works.
The project includes a custom outdoor kitchen with a waterfall countertop ledge for a green egg smoker, one of a kind steel pergola. Everything lines up just-so: the wood boardwalk and modern exposed aggregate concrete, retaining walls with “Santa Barbara” stucco finish, and new fencing. Mostly native plants that area all interesting and unique play off of the boulders and pea gravel, along with a very low-water “carex” lawn with water harvesting.
