VIEW ALL PROJECTSMy favorite landscapes are ones that include natural materials installed with artistic precision. In this project we used flagstone and large cedar timbers to achieve the elegant effect that the customer wanted. This landscape needed to feel clean and modern, but still soft and natural. We worked with raw materials, and warm colors to keep everything grounded.
We were brought into this build by Andrea Doonan Horticulture + Design. It’s a detail oriented and painstaking project, but it feels effortless when you walk through it. That’s always the goal. Most plants on the property are Native plants, and the flagstones lead to a backyard with a natural Cedar staircase, low-water lawn, and outdoor kitchen.
