Brick Mosaic Patio and Pergola

A little front yard patio with brick mosaic and cantilevered pergola. Pergola wood: planted by Kate Sessions, these redwood trees lived and died naturally in Balboa Park. San Diego Urban Timber locally mills them into beautiful dimensional lumber. I think this way of doing it honors the art of woodworking more than buying redwood logged from a far away forest ecosystem.
